Faculty Research on Technology Integration: Strengthening Studies and Improving Institutional Support (Research-Based)

Wednesday, February 16, 2011 | 9:00AM–10:00AM | Lincoln East
Session Type: Professional Development
Since 2006 our institution has held an internal grant competition to fund research projects on the use of instructional technology in education. Recipients have completed studies in the areas of online testing, evaluation of tools, collaboration and social interaction, and learning environments. Recently we conducted an in-depth exploration of the types of research being conducted. Join us to learn about the Project RITE (Research on Instructional Technology in Education) program and the studies conducted. We will share valuable recommendations for those who conduct studies such as these and provide resources for those who support instructional technology research endeavors.

Learning Objectives
Learn how to use the findings from example studies to make valuable changes to teaching and learning strategies.
Understand how to apply the recommendations from our research to your own studies of teaching, learning, and technology.
Modify guidelines to better support instructional technology research endeavors of faculty at your institutions.
