Who Let the Librarians In? Strategies for Expanding Online Library Services in a Course Management System (Pilot Program/Emerging Technology)

We will demonstrate how Elluminate Live! was implemented as a learning technology for an "embedded librarian" pilot project. We will provide an overview of implementation issues institutions should weigh if considering adoption of a similar instructional platform for delivering library services within a course management system. This mashup of a literature review and a case study will provide suggested implementation steps and strategies for pitching the idea to administration, implementing the pilot project, gathering feedback, expanding the pilot (adding content courses), and determining where to go from there.
