Tuesday, February 14 | 11:00AM–12:00PM | Meeting Room 602
Session Type: ELI
Through a research partnership with 20 schools, Herman Miller has measured the impact of physical space and its impact on learning through its Learning Spaces Research Program. A five-year longitudinal study conducted as part of this program provides insights into what contributes to a successful learning space. A summary of individual school index scores and outcomes will be shared. Marti Bogart, associate professor of economics and associate dean for academic affairs at North Central College (one of the schools included in the study), will also share details of the in-depth research process and related results from her college.

Learning Objectives:
*Understand how the physical learning space contributes to the learning experience and impacts faculty and students
*Understand the role of assessment in measuring learning spaces and compare their campus experience to the story shared by North Central College
