Northeastern's Digital Media Assignment Initiative

Wednesday, February 15 | 9:00AM–11:00AM | Grand Ballroom Foyer
Session Type: ELI
With only a tiny budget, Northeastern's EdTech Center staff wanted to find a way to help faculty develop effective digital media assignments for their students and experiment with creative uses for iPads. The Solution: Session participants will brainstorm ideas with other attendees to solve this problem and then post ideas using their digital mobile devices, to the collaborative website designed for that purpose. After participants have shared and critiqued one another's ideas, EdTech staff will reveal their own solution, along with associated resources.

Learning Objectives:
*Identify problems in faculty digital media assignments
*Identify the guidelines in the EdTech mobile initiative
*Collaboratively define an effective digital media assignment initiative with limited budget and resources
*Identify the potential successes and challenges for newly defined digital media assignment initiatives
*Find examples of EdTech's mobile learning site and digital media initiative
