Wednesday, February 15, 2012 | 9:00AM–11:00AM
Session Type: ELI
In 2011, we gave a 40-question survey to over 10,000 students at the University of Waterloo to determine what devices they own or access (e.g., desktop PC, Tablet computer, smart phone, etc.) and what online tools or programs they use (e.g., Twitter, Facebook, Foursquare, YouTube, etc.) to support their formal or informal learning. Results were analyzed against the students' demographic data to divine what kinds of students (and what percentages) own or use the tools and technologies in question.
