The Catalyst Initiative: Making STEM Education Globally Available Online

This presentation will describe the activities of the Catalyst Initiative in creating innovative approaches to STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education and the work of six consortia composed of secondary and higher education institutions around the world, as well as the results and interpretation of this consortial research, which was funded by the Hewlett Packard Office of Global Social Innovation. A specific focus will be on the "multiversity," a consortium concerned with how online learning can uplift STEM education by providing high-quality STEM learning experiences to larger numbers of learners around the world.
