The Educational Positioning System: Guiding Learners Along Their Academic Path

Tuesday, February 14 | 4:00PM–5:00PM | Salon F
Session Type: ELI
The conceptualization, development, and implementation of an Education Positioning System (EPS) is an application of information technology that will allow learners, faculty, and staff to interact through "information transactions." This will involve the utilization of consumer devices in order to enhance the learning process while serving academic and career development. The EPS concept is a logical outgrowth of another, more basic technology-applied-to-process application commonly known as the learning management system. In this session, we'll discuss the potentially disruptive technology innovation that the EPS represents and how such a system might drive significant, positive educational transformation.
