Wednesday, February 03, 2016 | 11:45AM–12:30PM | Republic, Fourth Floor
Session Type:
Professional Development
Meet teams from Colgate, Haverford, and Williams, who will share their proven practices and mutual passion for engaging faculty in and supporting student production of curricular video projects. They will share their strategies and workflows in three categories: preproduction, production, and assessment. You will get physical details of each institution's staffing, facilities, and programs in addition to their focused approaches on topics that range from initializing faculty buy-in to assessing the final video project. If you think that your university could be doing more with nontraditional assignments, come see how digital media projects are alive and well in the liberal arts.
OUTCOMES: Compare text-based projects to media-based ones * Get production and postproduction best practices * Apply a scaffolding strategy to plan and assess the project and share proven resources with faculty
