This presentation is designed to share an institutional approach to online faculty preparation and engagement through a "facilitator as student" approach to competency development. The process will showcase an experiential learning strategy and outline a 180-degree change for new faculty who are engaged as students in an online teaching preparation course. I will also discuss the lessons learned at the university where I work for building success and the critical components for creating an environment for online engagement.
