Orientation Multimedia for First-Time Online Students

How well prepared are your college's first-time online students for success in asynchronous online learning? This session describes how Granite State College produced a set of four interactive, self-paced orientation objects to serve online learners' need to understand how online education works, how to access academic support services, and other critical information to reduce stress and uncertainty. The presenter will show four examples of interactive online orientation media, with an explanation of the circumstances that precipitated the need for this kind of program. All participants will have access to each object to review on their own.
