Remote Learning at Scale: How Large Institutions Solve for Access to Internet, Devices, and Software for Students During (and Beyond) the Pandemic

Thursday, May 20 | 1:15PM–2:00PM ET
Session Type: Breakout Session
Delivery Format: Live Session

Higher education, like other industries, pivoted quickly to deliver services during a global pandemic. In this session, Penn State University and the University of Central Florida team up to share stories of quick reaction and scaled deployment of internet through Wi-Fi hotspots, loaner devices for students in need, and lab computers and high-performance desktop software for large, remote campus populations. Audience participation will be encouraged to share stories with us as we discuss triumphs and lessons learned when delivering remote teaching and learning solutions during these unprecedented times—solutions that we think should persist in a post-pandemic world.
