CourseGateway: The Path to Equitable Education

CourseGateway is a new decision-support web application that expands awareness and adoption of high-quality, equity-centered courseware, allowing colleges and universities to implement products based on emerging research and evidence of what works best for today’s students.  Our goal is to expand the use of digital courseware and instructional tools in gateway courses to maximize student learning and increase course completion rates for Black, Latino/Latina, and Indigenous students; poverty-affected students; and first-generation students.

 

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the transformational potential of digital courseware for blended learning
  • Assist faculty, instructional technologists, and other institutional stakeholders in becoming better decision makers when selecting digital courseware 
  • Explore the CourseGateway.org tool that allows decision makers to quickly and easily compare products and conduct searches specific to their discipline
  • Gain information on how to get involved in this exciting initiative
