This presentation is a mixed-methods case study to determine students' attitudes toward an innovative assessment using game design methodology (GDM) in an undergraduate economics course. GDM allowed students to take ownership of their learning and apply the concepts learned in class through the development of innovative and engaging games in groups. Student sentiment regarding the impact of the project on their engagement and learning of the economics concepts was very positive overall.
