Please Note: The COVID-19 situation in the United States is fluid, and we continue to monitor developments that may impact attendees for our 2023 ELI Annual Meeting. As such, we will continue to update the safety precautions outlined below as appropriate to minimize risks to conference attendees and staff. EDUCAUSE does not require registrants to show proof of a COVID-19 vaccination to participate in the in-person conference. We encourage attendees to stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines as the CDC continues to promote the importance of being up to date with vaccinations to protect against serious illness. Attendees are not required to show proof of a recent negative COVID-19 test result to participate in the in-person conference. The CDC recommends individuals with COVID-19 symptoms get tested for the virus. The City of Anaheim maintains a list of list of testing sites or check covid.gov/tests for information about how to get an at home test. If you have COVID-19 symptoms, have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, or have tested positive for COVID-19 within the 10 days prior to the conference, stay home and take care of yourself.
EDUCAUSE staff participating in the in-person event are required to meet/follow the event COVID-safe protocols outlined above.
Attendees should be prepared to follow the masking protocols established by the venue. At time of publication, there are no masking mandates for the ELI Annual Meeting venues, however, this rule is subject to change. EDUCAUSE reserves the right to enforce masking mandates at the event even if the venue does not require them. Masks will be available on-site if you need one. We ask that all attendees respect one another's comfort level with masking/non-masking.
We are building the event to accommodate 400 attendees to join us in Anaheim. Regardless of the size of the conference, we are committed to providing a top-notch experience for those who attend.
Currently, there are no social distancing mandates in the city of Anaheim. However, we are asking that attendees be mindful of fellow attendees who may be less comfortable with close contact or sharing spaces. Attendees will have the option to add stickers to their badge to indicate their comfort level for close contact. We have also built out common and community spaces in the venue to allow attendees to spread out.
We ask that all attendees respect the comfort level for close contact and touching of other attendees. The new business etiquette is to ask consent before shaking hands and to sanitize hands often. Please look for a personal space comfort sticker on fellow attendee badges as a cue for close contact and handshake preferences.
Masks will be available on-site if you need one. Hand-sanitizing stations and disposable disinfectant cloths such as Lysol or Clorox wipes will be available throughout the conference space.
The City of Anaheim maintains a list of testing sites. Note some of these providers require appointments and pre-enrollment, so please plan ahead. Check covid.gov/tests for information about how to get an at home test.
If you test positive for COVID-19 during the conference, please check with your health care provider to make sure your basic health and wellness needs are met. Please inform [email protected] of your situation. Follow CDC guidelines for precautions to prevent spreading it to others.
