Low-Effort, High-Impact Mobile Development: Designing a Mobile Website with iUI

Wednesday, March 03, 2010 | 5:10PM–5:20PM
Session Type: Professional Development

The iUI framework is a JavaScript and CSS package that handles the "heavy lifting" of mobile interface design, letting developers focus their time on creating content instead. Sites built with this framework are compatible with a wide variety of modern smartphones and can also be easily modified to work on more basic phones. This session will give a brief tour of the UNC Libraries mobile website, which was built with iUI, followed by an introduction on how to use iUI in developing your own mobile site.
