MOCA: It's Not Just Chocolate Anymore
The Division of Instructional Innovation and Assessment at the University of Texas at Austin has developed multiple mobile courseware applications over the past year. The first was the creation of the Mobile Ongoing Course Assessment (MOCA) application, a real-time, interactive polling application for use in the classroom. Built by leveraging the infrastructure of an existing survey system, MOCA was optimized for mobile interfaces. This session will share details regarding the approach to MOCA and its timeline, implementation, and impact, as well as lessons learned and future strategies.
