Wednesday, March 03 | 2:15PM–2:45PM
Session Type: Professional Development

More students are using mobile devices to manage their social, personal, and academic lives, which makes the question of how best to fit mobile technology into the campus environment one of increasing importance. During this session, undergraduate students at Stanford University will discuss the student perspective and what led them to build a mobile app to bring the entire campus experience to highly mobile devices like smartphones. They will talk about where the mobile collaboration experience is today and where it will go next. The session will also offer a look at popular mobile apps that have today's students engaging with their smartphones, navigating campus maps and course catalogs, connecting with instructors and classmates, and getting updates on teams and events—all with the tap of a finger.
