Session Type: Professional Development

Join Malcolm Brown and Veronica Diaz as they moderate this webinar with Cody Connor and Athena Kennedy. Encouraging pedagogical innovation can be a challenge. This presentation will show tech tools to hook instructors on using technology, creating an environment for sustainable technological adoption, and establishing trust that is transferrable to students in online classes. The presenters will demonstrate multimedia technologies such as Popcorn Maker, Pinterest, and TED-Ed. They'll show how fostering a learning group of tech ambassadors among instructors is critical in the sustainability of technology adoption. The presenters will discuss professional development endeavors at the University of Wyoming and their successes with Tech Boot Camp, the e-Volution Technology Forum, and more. Trust is important between students and instructors, and it's integral between instructional designers and instructors. From their perspective, in working with faculty and experience with distance education, Athena and Cody will demonstrate ways to encourage instructors to employ technology to build trust online among students. Participants will leave this session empowered to integrate trust-building technologies into their online classrooms. word that you're linking
