ELI Webinar | An Early Look at CHLOE 2018: The Changing Landscape of Online Education

CHLOE 2018 represents the second year of this new annual survey of U.S. online education. The purpose of the survey is to study current practices and trends in online education from the perspective of its evolution into a mainstream component in U.S. higher education. The survey focuses on the strategic priorities, organization, funding, policy, and technology choices made by large and small, public and private, 2 and 4-year institutions in their efforts to build sustainable online programs. In the second CHLOE Survey we dig deeper to understand the reasons behind institutional choices. Responsibility for the growth and management of online programs is increasingly being delegated to a campus officer whom we refer to as the chief online officer. CHLOE surveys these chief online officers, wherever they can be identified, for their unique perspective and insight.
