Member QuickTalk | Measuring Student Engagement in Zoom

Student engagement is critical for in-class learning, especially in Zoom classes. If we can measure this engagement, we can manage it and improve learning. At Brandeis University, student engagement is measured in Zoom classes by tracking student participation during the class. Dashboards show how much discussion there was; who talked, when; how balanced or unbalanced the discussion was; and more details of participation. With this data, Brandeis faculty can teach better and give better feedback to students.
