Migrate Your Calendar Data into Microsoft Exchange

Tuesday, March 10, 2009 | 9:30AM–10:20AM | Room 552 B
Session Type: Professional Development
Wesleyan University moved from a UNIX and Meeting Maker environment to a fresh installation of Microsoft Exchange 2007. Exchange offers end users a single application (meetings/appointments and e-mail) for more efficient workflow and information management. This presentation will demonstrate the multifaceted, complex aspects of moving calendaring data from Meeting Maker into Exchange and the importance of establishing a close vendor relationship to make this transition possible (meeting Wesleyan's planned path and timetable). Wesleyan's outcome: a relatively seamless transition for the end user. The university immediately reaped the benefits of a single application to get its data: current, future, and some historical.
