Hollywood filmmaking methods are not only accessible to educators but also translate naturally to instructional media. At NYU Tandon School of Engineering, the Faculty Innovations in Teaching & Learning Center follows the entertainment industry's workflow to create high-quality instructional videos that engage and inspire learning. Learn how FITL partners with engineering faculty to bring their content to the screen, and what industry secrets you can put to work on your campus. Spoiler alert: "We'll fix it in post" is not in our vocabulary.


Outcomes: Learn about the 3 main phases of the video production workflow * Create a simple storyboard based on an existing script or outline * Employ aspects of the demonstrated workflow in planning and executing a video production
