Community of Practice Session
Recognizing that information security practitioners are now being asked to work across the institution as partners and that security and privacy have become key concerns for higher education, NERCOMP has established the Information Security Community of Practice. Security organizations are still required to manage tactical operational responsibilities, but are now also fully engaged strategically across our institutions to address data security and member privacy concerns across the academic and administrative spaces. This preconference seminar will provide an opportunity for those involved in information security to come together to discuss current security topics and establish relationships with peers. An agenda that identifies a few key topics, but emphasizes group discussion and community building, will be established prior to the session.
