Creating a Student Leadership Team

How do we create opportunities for students to develop leadership skills? This session will explore the realities of creating a student leadership team in a dynamic library service area. Our experiences will offer unique insight into both the successes and challenges of creating a tiered-employment model.

Outcomes: Learn how to create a student leadership team in order to support a peer-to-peer staffing model * Discuss experiences from both full-time and student staff to better address the challenges associated with developing a student leadership team * Identify steps to help students make the most of their college employment experience
