The annual Security Professionals Conference, sponsored by the EDUCAUSE/Internet2 Computer and Network Security Task Force, brings together information security professionals, IT staff, and others from across the higher education community to help improve IT security and effectively address privacy issues at institutions of higher education. The Security 2009 conference, "Safeguarding Our IT Assets, Protecting Our Community's Privacy," focussed on privacy and security topics that cut across the information assurance measures of people, process, and technology. The conference included keynote speakers, pre- and postconference seminars; corporate displays; and sessions that address privacy and security topics in the areas of management and operations, policy and compliance, and technology.
