Conducting Internal PCI DSS Assessments

Tuesday, April 21, 2009 | 5:30PM–6:30PM | International C (6th floor)
Session Type: Professional Development

Like many higher education institutions, Penn State has come to rely on the ease of use of credit cards as an acceptable form of payment for tuition, products, services, and donations. From a financial aspect, payment is simplified, the financial transfer is almost assured, and cash handling is reduced. However, this seemingly simple solution to accounts receivable must be delivered in compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). In this interactive session, learn how Penn State organized 190 merchant areas across Pennsylvania into manageable groups and performs unit assessments of compliance with the DSS.
