Security Professionals Go "Back to the Future..."
We hope you were able to join us for the 13th annual Security Professionals Conference as we explored the theme Back to the Future: What Will the Future of Information Security Look Like? It's clear that today's information security practitioners require a unique blend of a vision for the future, combined with the wisdom and experience of the past, in order to successfully steer organizations across the modern threat landscape.
While we all wish we had a crystal ball to predict the future of information security, we cannot forget that the past will have an impact on our role both today and tomorrow. No time machine is necessary to re-live the past few decades of security, privacy, and technology, as many of us have evolved just as the solutions and threats have evolved. Much can be learned from the experiences of the past, and how it can shape what is in the future for our roles and responsibilities.
Additional Opportunities
Attend Virtually
To support a large geographic area, EDUCAUSE webcasts various conference sessions and offers specific online-only sessions. This enabled members to learn and network with colleagues without leaving their campus, and were able to attend the online conference individually or with a team.
Make a Difference
Conference participants had the option to give back this year by donating school supplies for children and families in need. Find out more about our partnership with the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Mentoring
Mentors and those looking for a mentor were matched up for one-on-one discussions before, during, and after the conference. In addition, several career development sessions were included in the conference program. Discover what's happened in Minneapolis for mentoring.
