Behind the Scenes at UC Berkeley's Google Apps for Education Implementation

Thursday, May 17, 2012 | 3:05PM–4:05PM | Meeting Room 103/104
Session Type: Professional Development
In December 2011, UC Berkeley formally decided to adopt the Google Apps for Education platform and began planning to move our 70,000 e-mail users from locally managed systems to Google. After a quick, unfiltered overview of Berkeley's decision-making process, we'll share how we are now engaging our faculty, staff, and students to ensure a smooth transition and the technical and human side of the lessons we've learned so far. Most of the time will be spent in an informal discussion, shaped through audience participation.
