In this panel discussion, faculty, academic administrators, and IT leaders at Long Island University will describe an effective model for addressing the challenge of creating a cross-campus iPad learning community in a compressed time period. Based on collaborative decision making and cooperation among multiple academic and IT units, the panel discussion will focus on the process of designing and implementing a multidisciplinary faculty learning community centered on the use of the iPad for a variety of educational purposes and projects across the institution. Required resources, communication plans, faculty development, and expected project outcomes will be emphasized, and faculty projects will be highlighted.
