The Times They Are a-Changin': A Case Study in Change Management at Saint Anselm College

Tuesday, March 25 | 12:30PM–1:20PM | Room 554
Session Type: Professional Development

Saint Anselm College recently implemented a time-reporting application for salaried (exempt) employees, which addressed several institutional needs. A compressed implementation timetable and potential issues around altering prevailing practices were identified as key challenges. However, significant decisions, executive-level support, and partnerships that leveraged expertise from HR, instructional technology, and information systems resulted in a successful change management exercise of a highly sensitive business process. The session will identify lessons learned and discussion points that could potentially be adapted for a variety of institutions.

OUTCOME: Explore how we used change management to evolve our business processes using technology * Elaborate on the collaborative elements and managerial leadership that fostered a successful rollout of the solution * Describe the project process and how relevant feedback and requirements were translated into a solution * Outline the time, technology, and resources required to successfully complete the project in a compressed time frame * Summarize the benefits of the change management process as it relates to our case study
