Taking Systematic Approaches to Reducing Barriers for All Students

Systematic approaches can be implemented to reduce barriers for students when designing and developing an online course. Two of these approaches will be addressed in this presentation. One approach is through the lens of compliance and faculty education using the OSCQR rubric and the other is through the implementation of Universal Design for Learning principles.


Outcomes: Learn how to adapt and implement the OSCQR rubric * Apply the OSCQR dashboard to monitor the progress of reviews to identify areas of relative strength and weaknesses * Identify principles of UDL and 3 applications of UDL practices in an online environment
