A Snapshot in Time, Continued: Enterprise Architecture, the Second Pillar of BU's Approach

Tuesday, March 28, 2017 | 8:30AM–9:20AM | Room 555
Session Type: Breakout Session
Delivery Format: Standard Presentation
Last year, we talked about developing the ITSM practice at Boston University as a way of ensuring that the IT services we deliver remain relevant and useful. A second pillar in the BU IS&T approach to technology is enterprise architecture (EA), a practice that both supports and complements ITSM. We are building this practice based on the TOGAF architecture framework. In this session, we will look at where we are in the two-year effort. (Note: No prior knowledge of TOGAF is required to attend.)

Outcomes: Learn about TOGAF and EA * Hear about the specific initiatives we've undertaken to develop the EA practice * Understand how EA complements ITSM at BU
