Experiential Learning for Faculty: A Professional Development Opportunity

How do you craft experiential learning opportunities for faculty? In this session, we will introduce the background of one campus initiative, discuss the story of the course redesign process, and describe the evaluation and the assessments used to capture the process and change that took place. Preliminary findings will be discussed, including what the data has revealed about experiential learning for faculty and the change process.

Outcomes: Understand how this program's design and preliminary findings for changing faculty pedagogy might apply to your own work * Discuss how to promote reflective practice and faculty change with campus assessments and evaluations * Describe 3 strategies to build course improvement capability at a college or university
