Curricular transformation calls for supporting information management, reporting, and analytics. To meet these needs, NYU School of Medicine built an Education Data Warehouse (EduDW) and implemented powerful business intelligence software for learner performance measurement. The EduDW integrates and enables analysis of large amounts of data from multiple educational sources. It allows us to track a learner's data throughout his or her entire academic trajectory, from medical school admission to residency and into clinical practice. We will describe how we developed and implemented a learner-facing dashboard to provide students with a longitudinal view of their own academic performance over time.
Outcomes: Learn about best practices for dashboard development and implementation to support individual learner progression * Define the fundamental components of an education data warehouse and related dashboards * Plan for use of data visualizations of learner performance at your institution
