The American Women's College at Bay Path University has spent the last year implementing an adaptive learning platform in several online courses. The data captured in such a system can benefit all stakeholders—students, faculty, subject matter experts, course builders—with improved outcomes and identification of areas for improvement. Adoption can be a challenge since the design and learning experiences of an adaptive course is quite different from traditional online and on-ground courses. Attendees will learn some of the challenges and best practices that TAWC has gleaned from its experience in this area.
Outcomes: Describe adaptive learning and its components * Identify the challenges and rewards of adopting an adaptive platform * Identify methods to overcome challenges or barriers to adoption of an adaptive learning platform
