Extending XR Across Campus: Adoption and Deployment

Tuesday, June 23 | 10:45AM–11:15AM ET
Session Type: Virtual
Delivery Format: Breakout Session

Virtual reality, augmented reality, and 3D scanning and printing technologies—collectively called extended reality (XR) tools—are being adopted across higher education in service to the teaching and learning mission. In this session, we will present findings from the second year of the HP/EDUCAUSE Campus of the Future research project. We will explore factors that influence institutional adoption and deployment of XR technology, and look at selected case studies of institutions that have integrated XR into their physical spaces and service models.

Outcomes:

Understand the challenges and opportunities for adopting and deploying XR technologies across campus * Learn about how the variety of XR technologies can best support applications in various disciplines * Learn about setting up spaces for and developing services around XR technologies at your institution
