Microcredentials are seemingly everywhere in higher education. Libraries use digital badges for information literacy instruction. They hold the potential to solve common challenges with traditional one-shot information literacy sessions. This session will explore the use of machine learning to tackle issues of scale in digital badges.
Outcomes: Explore the current context of digital badges and the potential for machine learning in digital badges * Evaluate the potential of machine learning and artificial intelligence to solve issues of scale in learning technologies * Identify the surrounding context necessary for successful implementation of digital badges
