A Fresh Look at Data Stewardship and Classification

Tuesday, April 21 | 4:15PM–5:15PM | International E (6th floor)
Session Type: Professional Development
Although much has changed over the past decade and a half, old strategies in data stewardship and classification still prevail. This session will highlight why universities should revisit existing data management strategies and assure their strong connection to information security and privacy practices. Information security officers from two very different Virginia universities will discuss their approaches to these issues and how they focused their communities to develop new data stewardship and classification practices.
