The Completed Information Security 5-Year Plan: Now What?

Thursday, April 12, 2018 | 9:15AM–10:15AM ET | Watertable Ballroom AB, Fifth Floor
Session Type: Breakout Session
Delivery Format: Interactive Presentation
If you had to come up with a 3–5 year plan to implement an information security strategy on your campus, and that plan was integral to receiving adequate funding for the realization of your information security goals, you'd probably need to "swab the deck" and fathom how to become a little more "sea(curity)worthy." We're not saying it's time to abandon ship, but there may be some economies of scale or efficiencies to be realized. Think of this session as an aid to navigating the next 3–5 year charter.

Outcomes: Be equipped to revisit your institution's information security goals with an eye toward making significant improvements * Come away with an outline for a revised ISP * Be thinking about how to combine resources or products in order to save time, money, or labor in the pursuit of protecting institutional data and equipment
