Session Type: Breakout Session
Delivery Format: Interactive Presentation
How do you effectively change the cultural approach to information security awareness and embed understanding of responsibilities in one of the world's oldest universities? What approaches will work for 13,600 staff and 37,500 on-campus students? When it comes to critical information, how do you ensure everyone will "treat it like treasure"? The University of Edinburgh CISO will share his experiences since joining the university in 2016 and detail the approach he is taking before inviting attendees to come together to create simple, but effective, information security awareness tip sheets.

Outcomes: Realize that there is no magic bullet for user engagement * Recognize the need to have a flexible approach when engaging your colleagues * Understand that changing the culture on your campus will take time
