Webinar | EDUCAUSE Annual Conference 2021 - Know Before You Go

The EDUCAUSE Annual Conference convenes IT professionals and industry partners from around the world to showcase the best thinking in higher education information technology. The annual conference is a place to learn, connect, and discover; it embodies the innovative ethos of the IT profession. We have designed two distinct experience options for annual conference participants: one for attendees joining us at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia and one for attendees joining us online. No matter how you plan to attend, EDUCAUSE 2021 will include top-notch programming on the latest trends in higher education IT from experts and community peers, ample networking opportunities for meaningful connections, and access to innovative technology and solution providers. This webinar covers what you need to know before you go to this year’s annual conference.

Outcomes

  • Understand the enhanced safety protocols for hosting an in-person gathering, including what to expect at the hotels and conference center—and from EDUCAUSE
  • Review the new etiquette for in-person gatherings, including social distancing and alternatives for handshakes
  • Learn how the online event will differ from the Philadelphia event; it is not a clone of the in-person event but rather a collection of experiences optimized for a virtual audience

Inclusion and Accessibility

EDUCAUSE strives to hold meetings, conferences, and other professional events where all attendees feel welcome and barriers of any type do not exclude people from attending or participating. EDUCAUSE recognizes that long-term and lasting progress on this front will require time, sustained effort, and the cumulative impact of incremental and individual actions.

EDUCAUSE automatically provides real-time AI captioning and downloadable transcripts for all online events. Many online events utilize breakout rooms to enable small group interaction and learning and AI captioning is not available in breakout rooms at this time. To request an accommodation and/or services, please send an email to [email protected] or call (303) 449-4430 for assistance.
