Webinar | Open Education: Scaling for Multiple Perspectives
In this webinar, we will examine how a community college system scaled its Open Educational Resources (OER) program from pockets of innovation to a system-wide program, providing increased access to course materials, allowing the use of OER-enabled pedagogies, and saving students money. We will explore the benefits of OER from various perspectives, including institutional, faculty, and student views. Learn why faculty in the Maricopa Community Colleges moved to OER, students appreciated the use of OER, and institutions have woven OER into program design. We will discuss how the program scaled, the current results of this initiative, the lessons learned, and our future plans for open education across the Maricopa Community Colleges. Attendees will leave with ideas about measuring the impact of using OER.
