Webinar | Harnessing AI Enthusiasm to Revitalize IT and Data Governance
This webinar is a part of the EDUCAUSE Industry Insights series.
As institutions scramble to address artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential influences and impacts on higher education, many are establishing entirely new frameworks to facilitate dialogue about AI across campuses. At the same time, many institutions are actively working to position their IT and data governance programs as more effective in strategic planning and driving strategic efforts. Instead of establishing entirely new engagement and governance structures to address AI specifically and narrowly, how can we leverage the energy around AI to reinvigorate existing IT and data governance programs at colleges and universities? Panelists will share strategies for channeling the excitement around AI into holistic IT and data governance improvements while evolving programs to use frameworks that are more inclusive and relevant to the modern institution.
Learning Outcomes:
- Evaluate opportunities to facilitate rich dialogue about AI across the institution within current IT and data governance programs
- Consider their institution’s current IT and data governance frameworks and identify indicators of a need for program refresh.
- Identify actionable steps to engage stakeholders in existing (or evolved) IT and data governance frameworks to advance institutional strategy for AI.
- Appreciate the value of cross-functional dialogue facilitated through governance.
