Webinar | More than Swag: Engaging Attendees at Your EDUCAUSE Booth
Join us for this interactive (and fun!) session where two seasoned conference attendees will share tips, tricks, and suggestions for engaging with EDUCAUSE attendees in the EDUCAUSE Commons. We will cover the gamut from preconference expectations—both yours and the attendees'—to effective use of your booth and materials and moving from badge scans to engaging in meaningful conversations. We will talk about the things companies do that work, could work better, and will likely never work. We will also touch on some of the most pressing issues and challenges facing higher education and how your company can leverage these as conversation starters with attendees. We want to allow plenty of time for us to discuss your questions, and you can even submit questions when you register for the workshop!
Learning Outcomes:
- Compare and contrast a great customer interaction with a poor customer interaction.
- Develop a list of ways to improve your booth materials or 90-second sales pitch.
- List higher education challenges that are related to your business.
- Learn how to pull people into your booth rather than push your product or message onto attendees.

Inclusion and Accessibility
EDUCAUSE strives to hold meetings, conferences, and other professional events where all attendees feel welcome and barriers of any type do not exclude people from attending or participating. EDUCAUSE recognizes that long-term and lasting progress on this front will require time, sustained effort, and the cumulative impact of incremental and individual actions.
EDUCAUSE automatically provides real-time AI captioning and downloadable transcripts for all online events. Many online events utilize breakout rooms to enable small group interaction and learning and AI captioning is not available in breakout rooms at this time.
