Session Type: Lightning Talk
Delivery Format: Lightning Talk
Interactive whiteboards (IWBs) have become an increasingly popular technology tool in today’s higher education classroom. These devices allow instructors to present content in an innovative way and provide highly individualized learning for students. During this presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to debate the use and application of IWBs in the classroom and their value in the higher education information technology field. IWBs can be a powerful tool for promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom. They can accommodate different learning styles and allow for a range of teaching techniques that can be adapted to suit the needs of diverse learners. IWBs can help promote student engagement, encourage collaboration, and provide opportunities for students to share their perspectives and ideas, thus fostering a more inclusive learning environment. Through hands-on investigation, the participants will determine the benefits and challenges of using IWBs and IWB applications. During the presentation, the speakers will provide specific instances and best IWBs practices for interactive content delivery and differentiating instruction. Attendees will have the chance to assess and deliberate multiple IWB applications, exploring their potential to enhance the overall learning experience in higher education.
