AI and Instructional Innovations: A Design Thinking Collaboration

Thursday, November 14, 2024 | 12:00PM–12:45PM ET
Session Type: Breakout Session
Delivery Format: Live Session
The rise of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) has created an opportunity for academic stakeholders to refresh courses, programs, and instructional strategies. Recognizing this, the Instructional Design and Media Production studio at the University of Illinois Chicago established a collaborative workshop that uses a design thinking framework to help academic stakeholders develop practical solutions to challenges they are experiencing with GenAI technologies. Participants in this interactive EDUCAUSE workshop will learn about the lessons from our inaugural offering and will engage in some initial design thinking exercises they can use at their own institutions. Participants do not need to have any prior experience with GenAI or design thinking.
