EDUCAUSE has collected over three years of competency data from the higher education community in key leadership and management areas: decision-making, communication, team development, financial management, institutional change, strategic leadership, project leadership, and others. Utilizing this comprehensive dataset, we have supported the development of professional pathways in key domains such as data, information security, information technology, innovation, and teaching and learning. In this session, we’ll explore the insights gleaned from this extensive research, providing a clear understanding of the current landscape of higher education leadership competencies. Participants will learn how to conduct self-assessments and team assessments, enabling them to identify strengths and areas for growth. We’ll equip participants with practical tools and strategies to leverage this information to design personalized career paths and professional development plans.
