Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) has permeated various aspects of our lives, especially higher education, and is continuously evolving at a rapid pace. By embracing this powerful technology, faculty can elevate their teaching methods and enhance student learning and engagement. Faculty on this journey can benefit from their peers in utilizing existing examples of learning activities leveraging AI and fostering student AI literacy. In this hands-on session, we will demonstrate how faculty can effectively implement GenAI tools to remodel their instructional approaches and modify course design. Drawing from successful learning activities at the University of Michigan, we will share practical applications for how faculty can effectively engineer prompts, refine their teaching strategies, and create course content using generative AI tools .Participants will leave this session equipped with concrete strategies and tips on how GenAI tools can best become part of their pedagogical setting and enhance student learning to prepare them for a successful future with AI.
