Building a GenAI Foundation to Let Your Institution Soar
GenAI experiments big and small are popping up across the faculty, staff, and student populations at many institutions. How can you as IT leaders help build a foundation for GenAI that enables uninhibited innovation?but in a way that is responsible and structured? Two CIOs share their stories. Patty Patria, CIO, shares how Babson College developed a GenAI Strategy to rally the college around a clear and responsible path for GenAI. This includes how Babson is choosing to use GenAI, how it integrates into operations, how it integrates into teaching, and the impact it has on student and employee careers. Michael Milligan, UMass System CIO, shares how the UMass President’s Office is setting up a GenAI COE to provide guidance to university system stakeholders to ensure a consistent, structured approach to implementation, risk management, and responsible usage of AI technologies. After hearing from these leaders, attendees will get to experiment with their prompt engineering skills to see how GenAI can support them in analyzing data and generating templates to accelerate the build of this foundation. Facilitated by Accenture MD and GenAI Lead Eyal Darmon.
