Wednesday, October 23, 2024 | 4:00PM–4:45PM CT | EDUCAUSE Commons, Posters Plus
Session Type: Poster Session
Delivery Format: Poster Session
The 3DHerbarium.org was cocreated with students to increase awareness of and access to plant science worldwide with inspiring 3D photogrammetry plant models viewed on the web in augmented and virtual reality, combined with richly annotated information and linked botanical data. This open-source software project won the American Library Association RUSA 2024 Best Emerging Technology Application Award and is in planning stages to expand the platform to support any discipline and add new interactive features. Please join us to learn more about the Library Innovation Hub, the 3D Exhibits4Learning project, and photogrammetry and 3D modeling methods and strategies for cocreating digital learning environments with students, and start planning your 3D Exhibit. Attendees are encouraged to share expertise, feedback, and suggestions.
